ARV Canada College offers a comprehensive English learning experience through our ‘English as a Second Language’ Certificate Program. When English language learners arrive for the first time at college, their English language proficiency needs to be assessed to identify student needs and inform planning for instruction (either Beginning (Basic), Intermediate or Advanced Level). We emphasize interactive and communication practice for the development of language skills such as: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. An online English e-learning portal will allow students to hone their English skills anytime and anywhere, supplementing their in-class practice. The program of instruction [English As A Second Language-Certificate] students who enroll in a language program which is six months or less in duration or for which tuition is less than $4,000 may not make a claim against the Student Tuition Protection Fund, which is managed by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training.
